Local Agriculture produces $2.5B to the economy. Crops include winter lettuce, Bermuda grass seed, cotton, lemons, melons, alfalfa, & wheat. Exports of alfalfa go to Saudi Arabia and wheat exports go to Italy to create 2/3’rds of Italian Pasta. Tourists can buy date gift baskets, date candies, and world famous date shakes in Dateland, 40 miles of Yuma. Dateland was a former Patton WWII Army training center.
